Terms of Service
The terms that govern your use of AI Build South Africa's guides, code and tools.
Last updated: 24 September 2026
1. Acceptance of these terms
Welcome to AI Build South Africa ("AI Build", "we", "our" or "us"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of aibuild.co.za, including all guides, code samples, interactive tools and related content (collectively, the "Site"). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, discontinue using the Site.
2. Our services
AI Build South Africa provides free, educational content and browser-based tools for developers building South African websites and apps on AI platforms such as Lovable, Base44, Bolt.new, Hostinger AI Builder (which now includes Horizons) and Claude Artifacts. Our services may include:
- Integration guides for South African payment gateways (PayFast, Yoco, Peach Payments, Ozow) and APIs (WhatsApp Business)
- Troubleshooting guides for common platform and deployment errors
- Guides on
.co.zadomain mapping, DNS setup and POPIA compliance - Interactive, browser-based tools, including a PayFast webhook code generator and a POPIA compliance checker
- Other developer resources introduced from time to time
All services are provided free of charge, without registration, for informational and educational purposes.
3. Not official documentation, not professional advice
AI Build South Africa is an independent resource. We are not endorsed by, or an official partner of, PayFast, Yoco, Peach Payments, Ozow, Meta/WhatsApp, Lovable, Base44, Bolt.new, Anthropic, Hostinger, xneelo or any other platform or provider named on this Site. We do participate in affiliate and referral programmes with some of these providers, including Hostinger and Base44. See Section 9 below for the full disclosure. Product names and trademarks belong to their respective owners and are used only descriptively, to identify what our guides cover.
Nothing on this Site constitutes legal, financial, tax or professional security advice. Payment gateway integration, POPIA compliance and production deployment each carry real financial, legal and security consequences. Before you rely on a guide from this Site in a production system, verify the current steps against the provider's own official documentation, and consult a qualified professional (an attorney for compliance questions, a security specialist for anything touching payment or personal data) where your circumstances call for it.
4. Accuracy of content
We make every reasonable effort to keep our guides aligned with the current dashboards, APIs, fees and documentation of the platforms and gateways we cover, and to date and source every figure we quote. However, third-party platforms change their APIs, custom-code blocks, pricing and dashboards without notice, often faster than any independent guide can track. We do not warrant that every guide will always be complete, error-free, or exactly matched to the current state of a third-party platform. Always test an integration in the platform's own sandbox or staging environment before going live.
5. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, AI Build South Africa, its owners, contributors and affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential or special loss or damage arising from or relating to:
- Use of the Site or its guides
- Reliance on integration steps, code samples or tool output
- Payment processing errors, failed webhooks or financial loss
- POPIA or other regulatory non-compliance
- Security incidents affecting your systems or your users' data
- Inability to access the Site
You acknowledge that any decisions or implementations based on information from the Site are made entirely at your own discretion and risk.
6. Your responsibilities
By using this Site, you agree to:
- Verify all code samples, steps and figures against the relevant platform's own current documentation before relying on them
- Test integrations in a sandbox or staging environment before production use
- Obtain professional advice where your compliance, financial or security circumstances are complex
- Use the Site only for lawful purposes
You are solely responsible for ensuring that any integration, deployment or compliance decision you make using this Site complies with applicable South African law.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Attempt to interfere with the operation or security of the Site
- Introduce malware, viruses or malicious code
- Attempt unauthorised access to our systems
- Scrape or systematically extract Site content using automated tools without permission
- Reproduce our written guides for commercial redistribution
We reserve the right to restrict or terminate access where these Terms are violated.
8. Intellectual property and generated code
Unless otherwise stated, the written guides, articles, branding and design on this Site are owned by or licensed to AI Build South Africa and protected by applicable intellectual property law. You may view and use the Site for personal and project purposes, and share links to our guides. You may not republish substantial portions of our written content without permission, or commercially redistribute it.
Code our interactive tools generate (for example, output from the PayFast Webhook Generator) is yours to use freely in your own projects, without attribution. That's what these tools are for.
9. Advertising and affiliate/referral disclosure
The Site displays a small amount of advertising and participates in affiliate and referral programmes, including with Hostinger and Base44. Some links on the Site, including the Hostinger banner shown in the footer, may earn AI Build South Africa a commission or referral reward if you sign up or make a purchase through them, at no extra cost to you. This commercial relationship never influences which platform, gateway or tool a guide recommends. Where a link is a paid affiliate or referral link, it is marked as such at the point it appears.
10. Third-party links and services
For your convenience, the Site links to third-party platforms, payment gateways and official documentation. These links do not constitute an endorsement, and we are not responsible for the content, accuracy or availability of external websites. Our Site relies on our website hosting provider to serve pages, Formspree to process contact form submissions, and, where you consent, Google Analytics for usage analytics; any additional third-party service will be named here before it goes live.
11. Availability of the Site
We aim to keep AI Build South Africa available and current, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may update guides, add or remove tools or perform maintenance without prior notice.
12. Privacy
Your use of the Site is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how personal information is collected, used and protected.
13. Changes to these terms
We may revise these Terms to reflect changes in our services or applicable law. Updates are published on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of those changes.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes arising from these Terms or use of the Site are subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
